I’m Jeff Janoff — a freelance photographer, videographer, and creative producer based in the Portland, Oregon area, specializing in bold visual storytelling that invokes emotion, sparks imagination, and elevates brands.
Before stepping behind the lens, I built a strong foundation in front of it — working professionally as a model and award-winning actor represented by The Option Agency. That on-camera experience has become one of my greatest assets as a director, photographer, and producer. Having worked on both sides of the set, I understand what it takes to bring out genuine emotion, confident movement, and natural storytelling in talent. Whether I’m guiding professional athletes, everyday people, or seasoned actors, I know how to create a comfortable environment that leads to compelling, authentic results on camera. This dual perspective helps me communicate clearly with talent, anticipate production needs, and capture the kind of imagery that feels effortless — because I know what it takes to be in their shoes.
With a Bachelor of Science in Film, Business, and Environmental Science from Portland State University, I blend a filmmaker’s eye, a producer’s instinct, and a deep appreciation for nature, culture, and design. Whether it’s capturing authentic moments on a remote trail, staging dynamic studio shoots, or crafting content for global brands, I bring curiosity, creativity, and professionalism to every project.
My experience includes collaborating with top creative agencies like Uncage the Soul, Blue Ox Films, Swift, Juliet Zulu, Sockeye Creative, Traveler Films, and Deepsky. I’ve had the privilege of working with clients such as Netflix, Nike, Adidas, Jordan, Coca-Cola, Intel, Google, REI, Puma, Hyperice, Samsung, Xbox, Columbia, Disney, Orvis, Leatherman, Planned Parenthood, and many more across lifestyle, sports, tech, and environmental sectors.
